Buddhist "Fanbai" Painting

"With fluid line work and a highly experimental use of media, Indian artist Sangeeta Singh paints intimate portraits, dynamic representations of animals, and images that border on the abstract. Her energetic compositions range from the loosely representational to an almost cubist restructuring of space. In kinetic images of Herculean bulls, Singh captures the sinew and the stature of the noble beasts so celebrated in classical culture and traditions worldwide.
