The painting "Brokpa" is another portrait from the artist's series "Children of the World". Before us is a young representative of the Brokpa tribe in India. Look at her completely European face, there are no people with such an appearance in India. The fact is that the Brokpa tribe inhabits hard-to-reach areas of the Himalayas and lives in strict isolation, for several centuries guarding the purity of their blood. They consider themselves true Aryans and descendants of the warriors of the army of Alexander the Great. The women of the tribe have an unusual outfit made of goat fur with many decorations, coins, buttons, pendants and stones. They braid 12 braids on their heads and their main decoration is an incredible headdress made of leather, semi-precious stones and flowers, which is passed down by inheritance. The main flower in this headdress is physalis, which is designed to protect the owner from evil spirits This painting is a real work of art, made in mixed media, it will decorate any interior with dignity. The painting is ready to hang on the wall, equipped with hooks, the sides are painted with dark paint.

Anna Shesterikova is a Swiss painter with Russian roots, who works and teaches art in her studio in Buchs SG, Switzerland since 2001. She received her education at the Moscow State Textile Academy at the Faculty of Applied Arts in 1993. Growing up among the volcanoes and along the coast of the Pacific Ocean of the Kamchatka Peninsula, she learned early on to sense nature’s permeating energy. "I am deeply convinced that the artist bears full responsibility to the viewer for the energy that his work conveys, so therefore the time I spend at the easel I see as sacred,'' the artist says. Anna Shesterikovahe draws her inspiration from traveling, literature, nature, music and everyday life. Regardless of the source of inspiration, each of her paintings transmits the unique emotional connection she establishes between the artist and the viewer. Anna Shesterikova’s works is wide and versatile ranging from the finest graphic arts, magnificent watercolor and oil portraits, enchanting natural landscapes to complex decorative artistic compositions. Her loose and seemingly effortless technique turns strokes of paint into unique emotional experiences. Anna devotes much attention to finding new ways in art, combining modern techniques with the traditional school of painting.
