The subject of his painting involves flora and fauna, architecture, landscape, nude and portrait. For Chen Ling, painting is a way of life and a way to complete his life. During the COVID-19 pandemic, when people all over the world shared the equal darkness and depression led by the pandemic, he translated his thoughts, feelings and emotions into his paintings as a way of relieving and healing. Chen believes that when people buy a piece of art from an artist, they aren't just buying a thing, they are buying a piece of heart, part of a soul and a small piece of the artist's life.
