Black and White Profile No. 03 Painting

I am a Cambodian–American artist born in 1980 on a refugee camp in Thailand. My family and I fled the Khmer Rouge and arrived to America in 1982, settling in a small Cambodian community in Santa Ana, California. I currently reside in Anaheim, California with my wife and three daughters ages eight, six, and three. I am a Graphic Designer who has worked for a fine art studio in Venice, California for close to five years, making abstract art in both traditional and in digital formats that would later be installed in corporate offices and hotel lobbies. My experience in Venice has helped enhance my understanding of the way I approach making art. I enjoy using my computer design skills as part of my painting process. And since then, I spend a good amount of time transferring hand painted works and sketches into the computer and this is how I come up with most of my compositions, simply based on this process.
