Geonwoo Lee was born in Seoul, the capital city of South Korea. Geonwoo Lee debuted with wooden sculptures at the Korean National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in 2017. Since the debut, Geonwoo Lee has been expanding my artistic expressions beyond sculptures to paintings and various forms of media arts and continuing diverse exhibitions in Korea.Furthermore, Geonwoo Lee’s works have been exhibited at the Saatchi Gallery in London and have been part of many global exhibitions. They were also displayed in luxury hotels, sponsored and featured by broadcasts and media, and won numerous awards. Geonwoo Lee’s works are based on contemplation of life and are mostly inspired by nature. Representing artificial forms with irregular repetition and/or representing natural forms into artificial forms are defining characteristics of Geonwoo Lee’s works, which portray many contrasts in our lives.
