I was born in Germany, 1985. Although coming from an artistic/musicial Family background (Piano, Violine) I never considered myself to be a creative person. This completely changed after moving to Togo with my husband for a year and giving birth to our son. Things that were kept under a livelong rug of Depression were bursting out. My work is therefore inspired by and routed in deep contrasts of life, the dark and the light, the cracks and turning points, as well as unexpected outcomes. It is about the aesthetic of things in existence, that are imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete. I am focused on abstract (textured) art using acrylic paint, oil paint, ink and pastels. It is an open intuitive process of creating a visually interesting, contrasted and layered piece with an interesting color palette.
