Sandra Lee Kennedy Born, raised and live in Toronto. I made a tour of the art schools here. From the University of Toronto, I studied fine art, including drawing under David Rifat. I studied illustration and design at the Ontario College of Art, and have augmented my painting instruction with forays at the Toronto School of Art and the Art Gallery of Ontario. A few years ago, I went to the Mendocino Art School in California specifically to paint with Rosemary Allen whose abstract oils I admire. Having worked in marketing communications for over 40 years, I now have the luxury of time to develop both my pottery skills and my painting skills. Is one to admit to that? That I am not at the perfect state of knowing everything? Every artist evolves though and I like to think that I'm open to exploring and evolving.
