Ataraxia Painting

Bilbao 1967 Bachelor BB.AA Vasco1995 Country University, he moved to live in London where he served as professor of painting and drawing. Later settled in Valencia where he lived for fifteen years. In his paintings, the mere representation has been relegated to the background to make way for a painting sober, where the speech is of great prominence. What started as ideas deserted and desolate cities wrapped in a fog and colorful skies that were lost in a distant horizon, has become dramatically sweeping panoramas leaking exaggerated. The author explores the visual textures, color balance, composition and shadows fictitious volumes, by using conical perspective. This is a game in which the passion and rigor go hand in hand. A palette watered; heavens of great presence, concrete, stone and asphalt eroded by the elements - rain, wind -, help the painter to influence the course of his work. Finally progressively diluted the "classic" reference leading to fractious elements represented in a fictional space that comes from within.
