The stories we tell and we hear can have their own life. As a child, I remember my father telling me stories before sleep. Children's thoughts and dreams, through the roof they swim away. The world is not only under the old roof, but it is also high in the sky, flying above, along with the moon, w...

I was born in Bosnia in 1950. But I have only 10 years. Exactly 10 years have passed since I, as a victim of transition, came to my first desire to paint and to become a painter. The life before that existed, but I left it behind me. The only thing I took from that previous life is my healthy family and several dear people who were with me when it was hardly the most. I have no art school education, neither do I go to school, because every my guest in my atelier can be my teacher, and I will be his pupil. Every my picture presents one story, one thought, one vision or one wish that I had at the moment of painting. But as life goes on, the same way go my images. They change. The base remains, but my approach, my presentation or sometimes even style and direction with time becomes totally different. I am not afraid of judgment because I am still learning, I am a student, I am not a sportsman for judgment of the jury. In real life, animated and inanimate objects constantly change, so why not to let my pictures to be changed by time and by my brush? A child when is born is supposed to grow, and not to be mummified, I think. Under the thick and numerous touches of paint are hidden my childhood memories, geometrical forests and mountains, mystical horizons of my consciousness, happiness, and fear. A picture is not some decoration for the walls, but it is here to be spoken to. The picture is a story, the story is the people, the people are alive until they move, my pictures are moving and changing. With these words, I define my style, my personal position, denying to worship the academic, institutional borders and frames. Every story and memory are different and it is logical that this difference is seen in my pictures. When I say "direction" I mean the direction in which I go, but what I am going to see there and what I will remember after is only my decision. My surname is continued by my sons and grandsons, my pictures are changing, the change is the move and constant continuation, and my time has just begun to flow.
