I am born in the Netherlands (1963) and now living in France, and am a fiberart artist (wool paintings/ needlefelt art) In the Netherlands I studied art (School of Art Rotterdam) and interior design, and after a brief medical study as well, I started my own business as an interior architect. A few years ago I moved from the Netherlands to France, to a beautiful area in Pays d’Auge, the south of Normandy. I make my art under the name “Needlefelt Addict” I specialize in creating unique pieces through needlefelting and wool painting. My art is heavily inspired by nature and is a reflection of my soul's connection to the world around me. In my work you will find my “Meraki” Through the use of wool, I am able to bring life and depth to my pieces, as each strand is carefully felted by one needle with intention and meaning, and capture the soulful essence of the subjects. My eyes and hands are the guide as I work with the wool, bringing the message of nature and soul to life.
