ABOUT THE ARTWORK

It is common for the creation of paintings to be driven by the desire to express emotions, represent experiences and visions of the world through our art. We know that painting is a powerful tool to convey ideas and feelings. So why the Lotus ? Lotus – we can take a look at the flowers, but we can’t touch them. If you touch a lotus, it will wither the next day and, best case scenario, will only bloom next year. The roots are under the water are also delicate. The lotus is viewed as a sacred flower because it grows from dirt, rises through the water and blooms as a beautiful flower at the surface. Lotus flower symbolizes the purity of the heart, nobility and illumination. With this painting, I want to tell people that we go through hardships in order to become stronger and that there doubtlessly will be a day when the flower will bloom.
