Born in Yorkshire and moved to Dorset England, Kathleen Neary has been passionately creating art and working in other creative industries for some 20 years. Previously her main field was cosmetic formulation, specialising in pigment blends and colour cosmetics, she was also passionate about using her creativity to help others design and develop formulas. More recently she has moved to silversmithing and designs and casts contemporary “Memento Mori” inspired jewellery with her partner, and together they have created a solid brand with a growing list of celebrity clients. Frequent travels bring her to meet contemporary artists, over time she’s had the opportunity to study live model painting in Rome with Sean Cheetham, and also spent time in Michael Hussars LA studio drawing from life. Oil painting, drawing, portraits and figurative work are her main passion, with a focus on colour subtlety and expression of emotion, but from time to time likes to break out of the box and become more experimental and emotion-driven with her work. She spends her time between painting and silversmithing in her Dorset based studio. xXx
