ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Tindergroth is a series of oil and pencil drawings on hot press watercolor paper. In the year 2000 my wife Kassia was pregnant. It was an extraordinary year of change and growth and excitement about the birth of our son Giles Willowbee. My work changed and I proliferated several drawings/paintings on paper a day. Hundreds were edited down to 45 and exhibited in San Francisco by the Virgil Skye Gallery. The series focuses broadly on the fecundity of nature. Often scatalogical and sexual mutations of animal plant life occupy a scribbled outsider dreamscape. This piece is sold unframed.
