I am Mike D. McNally, currently of Fresno, California and am a retired California licensed architect. Besides designing buildings of numerous types for the last 47 years, I have always dabbled with art of various kinds and mediums. From 1st grade and through college I primarily liked to draw cars and airplanes (among portraits and other subjects). Being retired I decided that I ought to try taking my old, smaller practice of automotive drawing to the next level and began drawing larger images of both classic and hot rod automobiles on archival paper and in mixed media. Rather than adding fancy backgrounds, I like to stay true to displaying just the car without too many distractions. My selections of cars to draw are of vehicles I have always liked and would own or at least enjoy driving. I have also been an avid gear head and had numerous old cars that I have worked on or restored - both domestic and foreign. Old muscle cars of the 50's and 60's used to be my preference growing up. I had a 525 HP 63 1/2 Ford Galaxie that was favorite back then. Classic Jaguars and Fords as you will see my Gallery growing, are my two favorites manufacturers - though I deeply love and appreciate any other well designed automobile - Ferraris, Corvettes, pre-war classics, etc.
