This drawing was created from observation of a live model that is pregnant. I was inspired after having a second miscarriage a few days prior to creating the drawing. Figure drawing is the most basic form of art practice for me, I return to drawing as a practice and basis for all of my artwork.

Biography: Lynne is a contemporary artist, educator and Exa Therapy practitioner working on topics involving society, community and cultural agency, through the use of traditional visual arts materials involved in painting and drawing as well as through the use of video, text, photography, printmaking and sited constructions. As an interdisciplinary artist her artworks and writing engage with contemporary and historic experiments in socio-political aesthetics. Currently Lynne works between New York City, Berlin and Venice, Italy. She was born and raised in Flushing Queens, NYC, USA. Lynne has won numerous arts fellowships in New York for drawing through the National Gallery Art and Museum School, in Venice, Italy for printmaking and most recently for a film project based in Berlin through the Berlin Collective and kulturspace. Her artwork, drawings, mixed media, sculpture, film and video have been exhibited in New York, NY, Venice, Italy, Berlin, Germany and L’Isle D’Abeau France.
