Mannargudi Rajagopalaswamy Temple Drawing

Srihari Swaminathan is best known for his work on Madras as-well for his other creative works in fiction based storytelling exact documenting and art direction in film making. I am a multidisciplinary artist from Chennai, India working in a variety of mediums, including Architecture drawings made of pencil and ink, abstract works made of charcoal, writing, photography, and production design in film. My work often explores themes of identity, culture, and the environment. I was born in Madras in 1990 and studied Bsc Visual communication. After graduating, i worked as a graphic designer illustrator and a film maker before becoming a full-time artist. My current work titled “Vimana” featuring 50 South Indian gopurams (temple gateways) is a meticulous process with long invested hours of artistry. It includes studying and photographing temple sites, making illustrations, printing and archiving. This self funded project is underway since 2021 and is moving towards a stable direction for my first solo exhibit set for release in the future. postmadrasatgmaildotcom
