Crucifixion and the inverted mountain Drawing

Born in Kamchatka, living in St. Petersburg, Russia. My whole life, for as long as I can remember, I've been drawing. At some point, having been encouraged by Van Gogh's example, at first by letters to brother, then by his painting, I took an essential decision not to study drawing or painting anywhere at all. I believe in art as a power giving the humanity the chance to overtop itself not only aesthetically, but also as a kind. Many examples in music, painting, poetry prove me of this and excite the willing to create and to change. The art of the XX century, to my thinking, is arguably the best we have to understand ourselves and move on: Giorgio Morandi, Pio Semeghini, Max Beckmann, Oskar Kokoschka, Antoni Tapies, Cy Twombly, Lucian Freud, David Hockney, Edward Hopper, Alberto Giacometti, Serge Poliakoff, Yuichi Inoue just to name a few.
