work explanation When it comes to texture of paper, it evokes me of extraordinary and exquisite feeling than any other material does. Every paper feels different in terms of texture and touch. Some feels sharp and cold as if it has a keen edge while others feel rough, clunky, and even crunch. I am especially fond of corrugated cardboard. With this kind of paper, so called cardboard, the textures found in cross section or ripped out are particularly fascinating. It seems that there is no material that can possibly substitute cardboard. Also while paper itself is a material that belongs to two-dimensions, as I fold, cut, or bend, it transforms its space into three-dimensions or even into the status between those two different dimensions. In order to demonstrate diverse and distinctive potential aspects of paper, I re-interpreted daily spaces from my own aspects and expressed it only with paper so that this work would ultimately show how the use of paper harmonize with the place.
