SILENT LANGUAGES (Grimaces)

The themes of the work presented by the painter Evi Panteleon are "Silent Languages" (grimaces), meaning the way of communication without the use of spoken or written language. It is a special way of communication that carries a lot of information. With Silent Languages, messages are exchanged mainly with emotional significance. With these (conscious or unconscious) many (implicit) informations are sent, which reveals either the sender's mood or the receiver's reaction. In the works she exposes, Evi Panteleon attempts to depict on the canvas the mood of the sender, whose general behavior is manifested more vividly, genuine and directly with the "Silent Languages" than with the spoken or written word.
