This emotionally charged acrylic painting on paper draws inspiration from the powerful performance of Lupita in the film '12 Years a Slave.' Crafted on environmentally friendly paper, the portrait study captures the essence of the character, with the intentional creasing and wrinkling of the paper adding a poignant touch. The artwork exudes raw emotion, delicacy, and fragility, inviting viewers to connect with the profound emotions embedded in the piece.

Visual artist offering new emotionally charged one-of-a-kind paintings, limited edition prints and exclusive artist collaborations. I was born in Vilnius, Lithuania. After graduating with a degree in graphic design from Vilnius Building and Design College in 2001 I moved to Dublin in 2002 where I continue to live and work within a creative environment. Capturing the soul’s whispers in every stroke: My art transcends geographical boundaries, weaving a universal narrative that resonates with the human experience. Through the lens of my dual cultural identity, I invite you to explore the artistry that emerges at the contemporary expression. The main area of artistic expression for me has always been facial expressions starting with pencil monochromic drawings at the early stages of my practice developing into the colour figurative abstract paintings. My style is strongly influenced by my passion for human inside out beauty. My passion for drawing faces developed in teenage years when I attended academic drawing classes. I was mesmerised by the power of dramatic graphite pencil lines reflecting an amazing expression of our individual personalities and characters. We are so similar but so different and unique, our face is a mirror of our soul. Large Format Canvases: The canvas became a playground for exploration, a space where the grand scale allows for an immersive experience. Each large format painting is an invitation to step into a world where every detail carries significance. Collect a Piece: Discover the emotion, the story, and the essence captured in each stroke. Join me on this artistic journey, and together, let's transcend boundaries through the language of art. Thank you, Ruth
