About The Artwork
The birth of Japanese baby angels is a work inspired by Sandro Botticellis The Birth of Venus.. Instead of the characters shown in the original work, I used baby angel figures. Instead of a shell, the baby was born a cookie of fortune. Japanese elements permeate the image, such as Japanese cherries and lanterns. On the left we can notice that it is a night scene and autumn, while on the right is a depiction of spring and day. The work was done digitally using program called Krita, and was done in pencil technique.
