Ink Painting on Saunders Waterford Aquarelle paper, 300 g, Satin. No hanging hardware included. In this serie “Mystery of love” I explored faces and faces to me are like poetry. Expressions, complexion and the gaze that gather in a form which both invite you and forbid you to get closer. I am fascinated by faces, skin and expressions and how these can speak to us without any words. This serie “Mystery of love” is painted in ink . I wanted reach a sense of skin, subtle expressions by using and mixing colours in a soft palette right on the paper with layers, washout and layers and keeping the faces plain on the paper making it look like a cloth. Each layer plays an important part in the process that brings me closer to the essence of what I am striving to express.I choosed this medium for I wanted to reach the softness of the face. I want the wiewer to feel that softness, and enigmatic radiance of the face.
