About This painting: Some places in the forest, where we would like to sit and enjoy the feeling of calmness and serenity. The place in this painting is like that. I hope I captured that feeling in this painting through varied knife strokes. Painting Approach: I mostly use Large Painting Knives to paint these Pictures, those knives create magical textures which create the feeling of Realism, even though I paint in an Abstract approach.

Magunta Dayakar (Real name: Magunta Venkata Subba Reddy) was born in India. After discontinuing his studies in graduation, he did different things in different periods. He had become a popular fiction writer in his native language Telugu, credited with thirty-five novels. He had worked as an editor and also published a feature magazine for a brief period. He scripted, acted and directed two feature films. He worked for Spectra and Coca Cola India as an artist. He ran Creative Painting School for children in Hyderabad for nearly 15 years. He has written 15 books on painting, which are successful and most of them got 4 and 5-star ratings. Those books available on amazon. His paintings have been collected by important clients and institutions in India and Abroad. Dayakar lives in Hyderabad, India. His style of painting is …Abstract-Realism. When one sees his paintings close, they appear as thick layers of color impasto but if you see them from a few feet distance you feel as if you are standing at the place. That’s what he calls as Abstract- Realism. He paints forest scenes from imagination because he loves the mystery and ambiguity of the forest. He says why he paints only from imagination rather than working in plein air or from photos. , ‘’ … When you paint from imagination you have both pros and cons. Pros are that you don't need to follow nature or photographs to paint and if you follow them, you should be restricted by their shapes, values, colors and light. But if you paint from imagination, you can create anything whatever you want. And he says … “Painting a forest scene involves a fusion of imagination and profound visualization. It's crucial to perceive nature by shaping forms and colors. By adopting this perspective, one can skilfully manipulate shapes and colors. I adhere to this approach, painting every scene from my imagination.’’ In terms of technique, I primarily rely on large painting knives to create my work. These tools yield captivating shapes, textures, and even unexpected 'accidents.' These serendipitous occurrences often serve as the lifeblood of my paintings, infusing them with spontaneity and vitality.
