Rachel K, a French-Lebanese artist, has carved a unique place in the art world with her signature style that seamlessly blends childhood nostalgia and modern art. Her works are a reflection of her love for toys, her green mission to reuse childhood treasures, and her passion for technology. She creates stunning pieces that take viewers on a journey back to their own childhoods while showcasing the magic of the present. Born into an artistic family, Rachel’s father was a sculptor and painter, and she grew up surrounded by creativity. Her love for toys and her artistic flair led her to explore new avenues for incorporating them into her works. She has since received numerous accolades, including the prestigious Best International Solo Artist award at the World Art Dubai Awards in 2017. Rachel has taken part in several high-profile exhibitions, including her solo show at Candifornia Studio in Beirut in 2018 and her participation in Miami Art Week in collaboration with W Hotel in 2022. She was also the first artist in the region to design a slot crypto machine for a crypto café in Dubai. In 2023, she stunned audiences with her latest exhibition “Dark Play: A Mobile Sculpture Experience,” a dynamic showcase of never-before-seen 3D sculptures at Ballroom Blitz, a hub of the underground art scene in Beirut. This exhibition marked a major milestone in Rachel’s artistic journey as she integrated robotic movement into her pieces for the first time. Rachel’s works have been featured in prominent magazines and prestigious press around the world, including Elle Oriental, Marie Claire Arabia, Noun, Plastik, Jdeed magazine, and Time Out Beirut. Her pieces are a visual feast, an invitation to step into a world of dreams, joy, and wonder that speaks to the inner child in us all. With her unique blend of technology, art, childhood, and nostalgia, Rachel K is a true master of her craft and a force to be reckoned with in the world of art. “The late 80s and 90s continue to shape my artistic vision and influence my work to this day. From the vivid colors and whimsical themes of our childhood cartoons to the imaginative worlds of the video games we used to play, I am driven by a desire to tap into that nostalgia and explore the deep connections it has to our collective memories and identity. With each piece I create, I aim to evoke those timeless moments of joy and wonder, and to remind us all of the boundless potential that lies within us.” – Rachel
