Amid the azure expanse, this piece unveils a unique perspective, emphasizing the power of togetherness as a shield against harm. The blue background signifies serenity, a harmonious sea of shared hopes and dreams, stretching as far as the eye can see. “The work of art must seize upon you, wrap you up in itself, and carry you away. It is the means by which the artist conveys his passion; it is the current which he puts forth which sweeps you along in his passion.” Seth Alifo’s art is noted for its vibrant combination of colors. In classic impressionist style, he avoids rigid lines and merged objects giving a sense of dream-like consciousness. Alifo as an artist paints what the mind can seize, from portraits of women – often in nude. They focus not on the sexual aspect but often of everyday experiences. Like other Impressionists, his paintings are rich in saturated color, fiving a life-like intimacy. He is constantly evolving and is influential in moving beyond impressionism and opening up new directions in art. Born in the Volta Region, by one of the Guan’s tribes, Ghana (West Africa); the artistic ability of Seth started at an early age. During his teens, everything he puts up was pleasant and appreciated by all around him and since that moment art became the driving force of his life. Whenever he finds himself at an immense state of tranquility, creativity is his nourishment. To bring unerring accuracy in art, he looked forward with hope and schooled at the Ghanatta College of Art and Design (Accra Ghana) where he instinctively developed and matured in the art field. Over the past periods, he has been researching and practicing in his art career with the willingness to bring out something fine and different in the art. And this has led him to the discovery of a technique, a personal developed style he fondly calls ‘AFRO ECCENTRIC WAVES’. The Afro eccentric wave technique is the intricate transparent waves of lines and shapes in circular form. A technique that has intrigued many art collectors, art lovers and, has changed every environment. He normally uses to render his abstract paintings for great beauty. As his painting continually develops, he uses new techniques such as building up images using dots or strokes which blurs the definite outline of the subject while simultaneously expressing his ‘Afro eccentric waves’ style. His wide bold brush strokes or palette focuses on warm colors, generally minimizing, black and browns. His perfection of form and technique is held up as an ideal for other painters. He is also noted for his ability to convey grandeur, beauty and perfection. Most of his art pieces are evocative of a rural ideal and the pristine beauty of nature.
