About The Artwork

If the last century was the century of the exploration of graphics and the use of color, the twenty-first century will be one of the fusion of these same graphics and the different types of coloring, and to avoid a work does not resemble a graphic cacophony, you must add to that an effective Storyline. This is why I created the Storytelling Art movement which is based on three axes: Fiction (characters and story), Manipulation (Framing) and fusion (graphics and color technique). These principles mean that I do not consider myself a figurative, cubist or impressionist painter and even less pop. My work is in motion and each work bends to the psychological reality of the subject treated by modifying its form. The painters of the last century have made fantastic discoveries in terms of graphics and coloring. Today artists can use these discoveries as tools with complete freedom. It's up to them to imagine stories ... that's why I say that Storytelling Art expresses what is most modern in painting today.

The assembly of juxtaposed plans gives rise to stories that express ideas which are not in any plan taken separately. The whole is greater than the sum of their parts. This definition applies to a new art movement, named “Storytelling Art”. It invites the audience within a story in motion which can be followed or appropriated. The aim of the storytelling art is to build a bridge between the horizontality of a book and the verticality of a canvas, taking the best from these two worlds… It’s a new style of art which uses the sequencing of comics and the space filling of the contemporary art. Like in movies, each plan used is characterized by a number of design features: scale, framing, camera angle view … "I like to mix the styles, the techniques and the ideas. I combine, juxtapose every kind of images, I remix the clichés of the popular culture and the contemporary imagery, I broach every subjects and melt with abstraction and figurative. I work from different techniques, drawings, stencils but also from different materials: the acrylic to play with color surimpositions and the oil with big impasto, searching for the balance between the texture, the details and the color range. Hence, this is at this artistic crossroad that I developed this very unic style..."
