Point number one ---- I am a mad ( keen ) fisherman. Have been all my life. Catch ALOT of fish. Point number two ---- I have been in trouble in the past because I used to clean my fish in the yard. Point number three --- My darling wife used to say " scales scales scales every where" So don't you think it fitting that because of all those fish scales every where , that I named this sculpture / painting " Fish Scales " O K now to the painting. This is another of my early plaster based works. And because I am not getting any younger, it is time to let another admirer have the pleasure of my many fish scales. Even though, only on a wall not in the yard. The painting is 91 cm high and 122 cm wide and 4 cm deep. It weighs nearly 5 KG This piece is stunning in it's simplicity. The texture really sets the character, with subtle shadow lines. The three colours blend together very well. It used to have pride of place in my home, but with so many to chase from my Darling wife has replaced with several others since !!! On the back is a signed and dated Certificate of Authenticity. It is wired ready to hang and has felt cushions to protect your walls. It dose not need a frame as the edges are painted. This painting will be shipped in a crate for your protection.

Patrick has lived on the Central Coast of New South Wales, Australia for over 60 years. His work reflects parts of his life with a bold and vibrant colour palette. His introductory works were mainly contemporary in nature, consisting of lively acrylics on a wildly textured plaster bases. The assortment of bases gives Patrick’s work depth, while the bulk and shadow lines bolster the pieces character. As Patrick’s work is evolutionary his latest style remains contemporary abstract. He uses various mediums and acrylics in fluid states to produce a mixture of abstract colours and shapes. Most of Patrick’s inspiration comes from the everyday world around him. He enjoys the challenge of mastering different techniques. Patrick has had many exhibitions, either solo or combined with other artists. He has won acclaim and awards for his abstract imagination. His work is displayed in galleries on the Central Coast and in private collections. .
