About The Artwork

Brothers in Blues. Diptych size 48W x 33 H x 1.8 D cm 24 W x 33 H x 1.8 D cm each painting size These two guitar heroes grew up under the same roof. They played while very young and began to achieve fame together. Jimmie and Stevie Ray Vaughan become mainstays in the blues rock world until Stevie dies in a tragic helicopter accident. The painting is made in a mixed style. Abstract Cubism creates mystery and directs the eye in search of something very familiar. Realism emphasizes individual things and draws attention to their distinct personality. Galina created this diptych to express gratitude for theirs musical creativity. In music, they are always together. Stevie plays enthusiastically, and Jimmy happily watches his brother....they are together again....and no more words... Individual reproductions of these paintings: "Stevie Ray Vaughan and Red Guitar" and " Jimmie Ray Vaughan and White Guitar" The work is made with acrylic, and varnished, the edges are painted.

A painting is a melody that plays with the sounds of emotions and beauty in our head and heart. To me, each painting is a piece of life - a life that lives on its own, on its own terms. You start from a blank canvas, and like creating music sound-by-sound, you add each new brushstroke, each new color, creating harmony, beauty, and a new experience for a mind to absorb. From the chaos of emotions and imagination, a new balance is born in each painting. I am Galina Vasiljeva, a full-time artist. Originally I am from Lithuania, now I live and create in sunny Cyprus. I have completed my art education in Klaipeda, Lithuania. Since that day, I don't stop experimenting, trying out new ideas, and improving, letting my imagination guide me. I am inspired by such artists as Pablo Picasso, Tamara de Lempicka, Georgia O'Keeffe, Paul Cezanne, Sandro Botticelli, Lyonel Feininger, Jean Metzinger, Childe Hassam, Konstantin Korovin, Yayoi Kusama, Banksy, David Kracov. and more artists. My paintings are mostly inspired by nature, architecture, and everyday life. I participate in competitions and exhibitions. Now I am a full-time artist. I travel a lot and I try to transfer the beauty I see around the world onto the canvas. My works are made with oil paint and acrylic on canvas, applied with palette knives and brushes. I like to share this life with others, bringing it into their homes. Through my paintings, I want to give happiness, confidence, strength, and the beauty of the world surrounding us. So that everyone can enjoy their lives.
