ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Basquiat, Hodgins and Matisse are my inspiration. A man runs next to the beachfront. His male attributes, exaggerated. While on one hand the piece is a colorful comment on masculinity and the brawn versus brain issue, it also looks at how we have come to focus on the development of the body at the expense of the mind—bigophobia.
