Loui Terrier is an award winning Artist/Filmmaker - living in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
He studied painting at the New School with Bill Jensen and he studied drawing with Margrit Lewczuk at the Met.
He attended screenwriting classes at NYU.
His short films have screened all over the world, winning awards along the way, and his recent collaboration with Irungu Mutu - the short film, Leaving Isiolo, is currently making the festival rounds.
His art focuses on portraiture, abstracted surrealism, landscapes and quirky still lifes. He draws inspiration from his extensive travels. His work on the Saatchi platform revolves around his protection Knot paintings. Knots are believed to ward off evil and the works featured here are treated like magic charms that activate positive energy in rooms where they hang.
