My work begins with the idea that reality is never perceived neutrally. Memory, emotion and expectation continually reshape what we see, making the boundary between the external world and inner experience unstable. Painting allows me to explore this uncertainty without resolving it into a single explanation.
The human figure is central to my practice. I use saturated, Fauvist colour, expressive gesture and altered spatial relationships to create psychological tension. Colour does not simply describe people or places; it carries emotion, disrupts familiar structures and establishes its own visual logic. My paintings suggest situations rather than illustrate complete stories, leaving space for ambiguity and personal interpretation.
Growing up in Wrocław, Poland, and now living in Germany has given me a perspective shaped by movement between places, cultures and ways of seeing. My background in physics also influences how I think about perception and reality. Scientific work taught me to question what appears obvious, while painting gives me the freedom to approach the same questions intuitively. My practice develops where these two forms of curiosity meet.
