Rūta Mon is a contemporary painter from Lithuania. Before dedicating herself to painting, she built a distinguished career as a professional ballerina, performing in the National Opera and Ballet House as well as in drama and musical houses. A lifelong immersion in performance, music, and visual culture profoundly shaped her artistic sensibility.
Working mainly with acrylics on canvas, Rūta Mon creates works that explore the elegance of the human form, the grace of ballet, and the dialogue between discipline and imagination. Stylistically, her art balances figurative and abstract expression: dancers in motion highlighting strength and elegance, symbolic portraits with dreamlike motifs, and abstract landscapes inspired by desert stillness.
Her paintings are part of private collections across Europe, and she continues to expand her presence in the international art scene.
