This tedious intricate paper sculpture is handcrafted without the use of any adhesives. It is made with my original self created interlocking base fold and this complex geometric structure contains more than 4,800 interwoven sheets of paper. The design is an is an abstracted version of an octahedral cube that is built through a formulaic engineering process. It is an architectural composition dissected through negative spaces and hollowed forms that reveal organic geometric shapes and patterns through symmetry. Additional forms are then added to expand the central convergence points adding to the overall aesthetic. This symmetrical sculpture is essentially a mirrored image when the piece is cut in half, flipped, and rotated from several angles. The completed structure may appear as an abstract form but underneath the twisted symmetry exists a concretely defined geometric design. An exposed and visibly open interior creates diverse viewing angles (“Money Shots”) where the geometry and forms organically line up to create complex aesthetic shapes and designs through symmetry. Extremely durable and easy to handle with multiple bases- the artwork can be displayed in several positions. It is completely handmade with a repetitive hands on process. Because of this aspect there are errors and blemishes in comparison to computer generated 3-D Art…This is something I embrace and appreciate about origami sculptures of this magnitude. More than 20 different colors in total with triangular and square surface patterns. Upon completion I applied by hand a clear Polycrylic enamel to reinforce an already sturdy structure and ensure long term durability.

More than 140,000 individual folds in a single sculpture. “Origami and its mathematical principles are undoubtedly the most universally consistent art form in all the cosmos" - Self taught base folds and original design sculptures and paintings. Thousands of sheets of paper without any adhesives and application of mathematical engineering process into 2-Dimensional Paintings and Drawings. I showcase and express a universal language of physical creation based upon evolving shapes and engineering geometry through a formulaic approach. It is an educational and cerebral art form centered around complex mathematical puzzles in both 2 and 3 Dimensions. As a self taught artist I have a true affinity for the technical process and challenging aspects of physically creating and realizing designs with my own hands and brain. Everything I create is original to me. This means that I have never seen the works elsewhere. I almost never create the same design twice due to the infinitesimal amount of possible variations within these geometric structures. Pushing the limits and boundaries of Origami and mental dexterity I only challenge myself; however I may be a leader in this timeless artform. Not just in this era but through time. Through hands-on mathematics I create concrete engineered geometric forms that represent the principles of infinity. Nearly every design I create theoretically expands infinitely in all directions and each specific sculpture is a representation of a physical geometric space that exists within these infinite patterns. The finished products often result in naturally occurring relatable symbols such as 3rd Eyes, Star of David, Swastika, Keyholes, Abstract Humanoid Faces, Forms, and more. Diverse viewing angles and negative spaces organically create these forms within the paintings and as you move about the sculptures allowing the geometry to line up (I call these money shots or money angles). A Synonymous relationship between chaos and order. Creating these sculptures begins with a consistent mathematical formula on how to evolve and advance the forms and designs of three-dimensional sculptural origami paper puzzles. In a sense I know how I am going to build a specific design based not upon what I want or think the sculpture should look like but rather by using mathematical principles related to how the geometry varies.
