Dragon Egg Sculpture

Part of my Metal Morph series, where metal construction parts become building blocks for sculpture, and transform into something new altogether. Made of about 100 heavy duty bolts, each bolt head is 2,5 cm ø. They’re packed solid into a 13cm ø sphere, weighing a whopping 2,8 kg! That’s what’s so cool about this sculpture: the immense unsuspecting weight and coldness of the metal. the sphere at the centre is PVC, spray painted fluorescent yellow. And the dragon bit... have a look at my Dragon Sculpture (sold) and notice the similarities of the body. Know this egg won't hatch, there will not be another dragon sculpture. Care tips: it's heavy. Don't put it where the cat can throw it down. Floors have been cracked.
