Easily mounted on the wall, like any painting, or for installation on a horizontal surface "I create my work with attention to detail, expression, and a little mystery so as to draw the viewer into my world. I would describe my work as impressionistic, inspired by flowers and gardens. I use a three-dimensional canvas of glass to produce landscapes with painterly effects. " Studio (art) glass is the modern use of glass as an artistic medium to produce sculptures or three-dimensional artworks. The glass objects created are intended to make a sculptural or decorative statement. Glassblowing is one of the most used technique for creating "art glass" and is still favoured by most of today's studio glass artists. This is because of the artist's intimacy with the material, and an almost infinite opportunity for creativity and variation at almost every stage of the process. Glassblowing can be used to create a multitude of shapes and can incorporate color through a wide range of techniques. Coloured glass can be gathered out of a crucible, clear glass can be rolled in powdered colored glass to coat the outside of a bubble, it can be rolled in chips of glass, it can be stretched into rods and incorporated through caneworking, or it can be layered, cut and fused into tiles, and incorporated into a bubble of glass for intricate patterns through murrine. "Blown glass" refers only to individually hand-made items but can include the use of moulds for shaping, ribbing, and spiking to produce decorative bubbles. Glass blown articles must be made of compatible glass or the stress in the piece will cause a failure.

Ruslan Luchko is an artist specializing in the intricate craft of glasswork, particularly in the art of blown glass. Rooted in the ancient traditions of Lviv's stained glass, his works serve as a continuation of this rich heritage. His inaugural solo project, the exhibition "Creation of a Free Human" at the LNAM gallery in 2019, marked the genesis of his professional journey. The exhibit was a convergence of artistic glass, painting, and multimedia installations, collectively exploring the complex notions of determinism and freedom of will. A pivotal facet setting his brand apart is Ruslan's active engagement with stained glass—a rare feat in contemporary art. Not merely a designer like many in the stained glass community, he is a practicing master. Learning and honing his skills among venerable artisans, he stands as the first artist in two decades to practice the technique of stained glass. Beyond preserving Lviv's age-old stained glass traditions, Ruslan aims to propel its popularity and relevance in the modern sphere. He emphasizes an individualized approach to each piece and a willingness to experiment with novel ideas and techniques. Recognized as the recipient of the Professor A. Bokotei Prize for emerging glass artists in 2019, during his tenure as Assistant to A. Bokotei, Ruslan made significant strides in creative development and practical experience. With five solo exhibitions to his credit, including an international showcase, and participation in over 50 collaborative projects worldwide in the last 5 years, he has been a driving force in the stained glass artistry scene. Currently pursuing a creative postgraduate degree, Ruslan Luchko focuses on exploring the theme "Interpreting the Mythology of the Carpathians through Contemporary Image-Making." Simultaneously, his creative project titled "9 Days Under the Wing with a Black Hen's Egg" unfolds. Additionally, he serves as a stained glass master at the Lviv National Academy of Arts. Ruslan Luchko's artistic brand resonates with a diverse audience—individuals who appreciate beauty and artistry (while condemning the aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine), irrespective of age, gender, or background.
