ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Wonder Tree 030 +++ A picture is like a song, it puts you in a certain mood. The best way to do this is to listen to your favorite music, while you look at the pictures and feel where there are resonances. +++ This image is inspired from my search for an expression of the vitality of Animism and Taoism. Omnipotent power is in every tree trunk and in the bark of our great trees. The spiritual quest of the Native American people and their art of totems provided the impetus for this work. The photography offers this perception of faces in natural formations. +++ Please consider ordering a print through saatchiart rather than from me. I also just go to a professional photo shop and have a print made on the best paper they offer. +++ If you want to be the only person who owns digital data and therefore the entire work of art then please contact saatchiart and we find a way.

the unspecified, the vague, the non-concrete... the process of creating a picture is just as exciting as the result. That's why I want to make it possible to see and „feel“ what the picture is made of, although digital material through reproduction undergoes changes. +++ The canvas is, for example, a classic support material for paint in painting. +++ In digital art these are computer monitors, for example. Making these pixels visible is just as interesting as the content that these pixels can make visible. +++ Spots and glitches make digital art alive and natural. +++ If I look at the Staatsgalerie Stuttgart at an original painting by Piet Mondrian, for example, I can see the traces of the creative process. Piet Mondrian's paintings were also often used as templates for packaging for everyday consumer products. There the motifs appear very clean. In contrast, seeing the traces of processing gives me the feeling that the picture is more alive. Not only is the finished picture there, but I can also sense the creative phase. That makes the picture much more exciting for me. That's why I also try to avoid sterile cleanliness in digital art, and show the revised areas as well, as they also hint at a lively process of creation. +++ Please consider ordering a print through saatchiart rather than from me. I also just go to a professional photo shop and have a print made on the best paper they offer.... +++ I have marked this picture on the front with one of my signatures or logos and the date of origin. +++ If you want to be the only person who owns the digital data and therefore the entire work of art then please contact saatchiart and we find a way.
