Tjasa Iris got stranded in Koh Phangan Island in Thailand in 2020. She called the island "Peaceful Island". Studying some Sanskrit on a side, (her 10th language), she named the series "Aman", which means Peaceful in Sanskrit. The new series is about Sea Gardens. She is taking photos of corals and all that comes out of the sea during very low tides, walking far away from the shore, but still being within the coral reef. To Tjasa Iris, a totally New Universe appears. It is a photograph, but she also hand painted over it a little bit with acrylic paint in an almost unperceivable way, that makes the artwork even more complex, powerful, original and unique.130 x 175 cm, digitally altered photograph on textured pvc, that some call plastic canvas, hand painted over with acrylic paint, edition of 12, 2023. The photograph is sold unframed but can be framed at additional cost. Only hand signed photograph, without hand interventions is available at $1100.
