LAS VEGAS NEON BONEYARD Project In 2009, I had the opportunity to capture photographs of a vanished Las Vegas, at the "Neon Boneyard," where vintage Las Vegas signs were saved and preserved. These signs once graced the facades of famous hotels, casinos, and businesses, contributing to the neon-lit tapestry that defines Las Vegas. From the iconic Stardust sign to the vintage Moulin Rouge marquee, every sign is a piece of history waiting to be rediscovered. The visual impact of these signs, imbued with their colorful history, led me to create a limited number of prints which have also become favorites for people looking to enhance their spaces with colorful images of Las Vegas’ vibrant past and present. Exploring the neon past of Las Vegas is not just about nostalgia; it's about connecting with the soul of a city that has reinvented itself time and again. It's a reminder that beneath the glitz and glamour, Las Vegas has a rich history. "GLAM" has become a favorite for all kinds of spaces, from bedrooms to dressing rooms to bathrooms.

Peter Mendelson (b. 1967) www.mendelsonfineartphotography.com Peter Mendelson is an award-winning Connecticut based artist specializing in fine art photography. Initially inspired by the New American Color school of the 1970s and the work of British photographer Martin Parr and Italian photographer Massimo Vitali, for the last 20 years Peter has been documenting everyday cultural artifacts and leisure destinations from Maine to Miami and beyond in his own unique photographic style. Peter further refined his vision through workshops conducted by various photographers, including Todd Hido, Magnum photographers Matt Black and Alex Webb, landscape photographer Stephen Johnson, and NYC street photographer Phil Penman. Over time, he developed his particular style, using perspective, light, and color to capture the psychological power of urban and coastal spaces, aiming to inspire viewers to re-imagine the world for themselves. Whether taken during his explorations of Miami Beach, New York City and the Maine coast, or during trips to the east end of Long Island or abroad, his photographs focus on those things that are often overlooked, but which reward their viewers when given a second, deeper look. Peter’s work has been the subject of numerous gallery shows and his strikingly composed and boldly colored fine art photography prints can be found in the collections of both private photography enthusiasts and professional collectors alike. Furthermore, Peter’s photography has been featured in a wide range of publications spanning the art, design, travel, and style sectors.
