I started my career as a photojournalist in my place of birth, Israel. While living in Israel, I worked for a variety of newspapers and magazines including Hadashot, Maariv, Haretz, and The Jerusalem Post. In 1989, I moved with my family to Canada. During this time, while becoming familiarized with his new surroundings and the resultant self-changes, I continue to work as a documentary and fine art photographer. As a photographer and artist I have always striven for the time surprise of the ordinary. In my few years of artistic development, I have found myself again and again striving to explore time and culture changes all over the world. I found myself attracted to social and cultural issues; I was drawn to the cultural changes and diversity around me, particularly those linked to my own background. My work has been published in The Toronto Star, The Globe and Mail, NowMagazine, Flare Magazine, Jerusalem Post, Maariv, Hadashot, and in Sacred Balance by David Suzuki. Additionally, I worked with different agencies such as Actra, The Toronto International Film Festival, The Hugh MacMillan Rehabilitation Centre. Scarborough Grace Hospital, Workers’ Compensation Board, Reportage inc., The Ran Group, York university. Some recent major projects that I worked on include: “Dreamland-In the footstep of Mark Twain inn the Holy land” : Dreamland: After Mark Twain in the Holy Land is a photographic project bringing the history of the Holy Land into modern context by following the footsteps of Mark Twain. This project explores how time and countless struggles impacted the places Twain visited during the nineteenth century, and uncovers the impact and aftermath of the historical changes that have occurred since then. “I am Cuba” : exploring the diversity and humanity in Cuban society, As well as other segments of Cuba, particularly in less urban areas. in midst of the change of the guards. “Fleeting Glimpses”: Fleeting Glimpse: Is a relatively new experimental body of work that embodies my belief that "using a small camera, available light and capturing a sense of the fleeting and the candid”. And that there is no need to stage, force or manufacture situations when the richness of the real experience is so apparent to the sensitive and intuitive eye. I Participated in many photographic exhibits and events both locally and internationally Selected exhibits include: 2020- Gallea - virtual on line Exhibit.
