About The Artwork
Farida Shaaban, Dahamash, Emek Lod Regional Council: Faridas former home was built on a well and started cracking and sinking. Architects declared it dangerous to live in the house, so a new house was built and her family moved into it. Then a demolition order was served on the new house. The supposed reason for the order was that the house stands on agricultural land. The former unsafe house stands on the same land, but is "legal”. The family applied for a delay through the courts, but if they are unsuccessful, the house will be demolished.

Vardit Goldner is a photography and video artist, living in Israel. Goldner is engaged in documenting the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and in particular its effects on the daily life of Palestinian citizens of Israel and Palestinians in the Occupied Territories. She addresses social issues and animal issues as well. Goldner studied at the Faculty of Arts – Hamidrasha at Beit Berl College, Israel, completing the personal program (2010) and the Postgraduate Fine Arts Program (2016). In her recent work, Goldner creates video works showing women and families preparing and eating supper, and documents the fight of Israeli disabled to have their state-funded allowance raised.
