About The Artwork
This piece started out as a fine-tipped pen drawing. It develop into what I call a "beehive" style hairdo and it reminded me of an exaggerated version of how my mother used to get her hair done in the 60's. As a juxtaposition, I thought it would be cool to combine this drawing with the face of someone who I feel is a strong and "take no shit" woman I met while out on tour as a music photographer for the band HEART. She's not one to flip anyone off, but she has strong morals and a straight forward, honest and cool human. I had taken various behind the scenes photos of many of my road-mates and this one was a perfect match for this hairdo. She sometimes wore her hair up like this so I knew her face would look amazing. Sometimes this is how we feel about things.... so express it.:)

"Kimberly Adamis Fongheiser is an LA-based Photographer/Artist whose work spans over multiple medias. During the recent summers (pre-COVID) she’s been traveling with Ann Wilson of Heart and the band HEART Love Alive Reunion Tour 2019 (w/artists Ann & Nancy Wilson, Brandi Carlile, Sheryl Crow, Elle King, etc.) as tour photographer. When home she spends her time exploring other aspects of the art world. If she's not photographing other musical artists, portraiture etc, you will find her in her studio painting, drawing and exploring new mediums. Her work has been displayed in Rome, Venice, London and in Los Angeles where she’s had Solo & Group exhibits.
