A perfect setting. A white picket fence, a dramatic iron sheep head and bright yellow flowers. There is also a shed of sorts in the back stencilled against a phthalo blue sky. Is it not just too idyllic to paint? This perfect setting gave me a sense of pathos that something is not quite right. What does the iron cast of sheep head represent? Is it simply an artistic expression by an artist of the many lambs that dot the green earth around this perfect scene or is it something far more sinister? Too much perfection follows too many questions.
