About The Artwork
In this work, I examine my own way of performing Botticelli's subject of Venus emerging from the foam, but it is not a copy. I am looking for the characters' own lives, a new expression, the portraits of the main characters are replaced by self-portraits and portraits of family members. While the size and plot of the painting corresponds to Botticelli's execution, it is different in terms of expression and feeling. It goes deeper and the characters hide their inner struggle.

Michaela graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. She paints alternately in Prague, on the Malá Strana in the Beethoven Palace, and in the countryside, where she keeps a large pack of Irish wolfhounds. They are also a frequent motif of hers. works, then people and horses. She loves the Italian Renaissance and Rome and Florence, these motifs also appear in her work.
