This wartercolor on Fabriano 300 gsm with Winsor & Newton paint was made in Nov 2016 after my wfie who was visiting Tallinn sent me a photograph. I did this based on the photo but wanted to capture the quite street and the couple walking away. At first i wanted to call it Together we walk but i ended up with Somewhere in Tallinn as the title. This painting is one of 4 cityscape works I did as a series evoking nostalgic locations for admirers.

The painting has been carefully farmed with quality materials by Mester Ramer AS, Norway and is ready to hang

Born in India in 1976, now living in Norway, Sriram is a self-taught artist who took to painting in his late 30s. He paints mostly in watercolours. His favourite subjects are people on the streets going about their daily lives from young to old, from reading to walking their pets to browsing or just a chit-chat and street views After exploring art with acrylics, Sriram settled into paint with watercolours as its fluidity allowed him to experiment with light and the non-existence of it. The ebb and flow of water and pigments is what his paintings showcase. His works depict that side of humans who sometimes absorbed in their world tend to forget what moves around them. People are core to his paintings. Its not so much about the anatomy but its the lines and shapes, edges, light and shadow that reveals the mood of the subject. He also enjoys exploring other mediums such as Oils for small and affordable art focussing on plien air landscapes, still life and figurative subjects at his home studio. Having graduated in Bachelors of Commerce, Sriram currently works fulltime in IT. As a self-taught artist, his passion for drawing and painting means that every work has turned into a learning process. His inspirations are some of the contemporary artists such as Alvaro Castagnet, Eudes Corriea, Joseph Zbukvic, Graham Berry, Rajkumar Stabathy, Dan Garzino, Craig Stephen, Ramesh Jhawar
