About The Artwork
Of all the Asian inspired paintings that I've done this is the most expressive. The Japanese character "Slave" with the points leading to her wide open eyes and heart. Bright Cadmium red pops through a darker, cloudy background. The way the characters and Geisha are situated makes your eyes wander around the canvas endlessly. The piece has a gloss varnish to make it stand out no matter where you put it, and is sure to last for generations. All paintings come with a Certificate of Authenticity and personal wax seal. The sides are painted so there is no need for framing and is ready to hang. This has been in my private collection since 2010 and is the first of many of my works to be featured here on Saatchi.
