ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Peonies are one of the most beautiful flowers that always look great in bouquets and in the garden. They come in a variety of colors, and there are even special varieties that change their shade during flowering. Today there are more than 6500 varieties of peonies, and new ones are constantly appearing. The peony, named after one of the brightest women of the century, was bred by the equally famous French breeder Pierre Louis Victor Lemoine. Sarah Bernard at the beginning of the 20th century was called "the most famous actress in history." She won the hearts of Mark Twain, Victor Hugo, Marcel Proust, Alexander Dumas and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, and many others, almost all the monarchs of Europe bowed before her talent. She was famous for her eccentricity and explosive character, she was brilliant and unique.

I was born in the capital of a small Baltic country in a family of artists 51 years ago. I've been drawing since I was a child, as long as I can remember. I was friends with a neighbor boy whose parents were also artists. That's why he and I grew up in a creative environment. Perhaps such an environment (poets, artists, musicians, artists) influenced my development. I drew always and everywhere, and often automatically (unconsciously) . At the age of 17, after graduating from high school, I, as is typical of young people, was a terrible maximalist. It seemed to me that I already know everything and know how to do everything. My parents wanted me to continue my studies at the Art Academy.
