ABOUT THE ARTWORK

"I'm not yours" by René Cheng, speaks for itself. Made as a pictorial protest against violence against women and violence in general. Made on cotton canvas in oil, with Chinese paper, gesso and rabbit tail. She is the ghostly woman, with a distrustful look, whose mask and her gag do not allow her to witness the violence, the harassment, of which she is a part of her. It is a protest against machismo, but just like the exaggeration of the feminist movement itself, which no longer allows flattering a woman, without being accused of sexual harassment. Violence creates violence. Respect and love generate their respective characters. This work participated in FIGURATIVAS 2022 in Spain and is protected and registered with INDAUTOR.
