From a romantic perspective of ruins throughout the history of art, I wanted to create an image of what became of vulgar silots of wheat in the port of Beyrout after the tragic fact of the explosion, paradoxically becoming a iconic ruin, a symbolically charged vestige. I had in mind strong analogies of representations of the Parthenon in Athens, certain mountains of Cheyenne Montains in the United States. Illustration of our time, all ages create its ruins, in our contemporary history: the churches of Hiroshima or Berlin are an example. time and sometimes instantaneous tragedy have drawn its forms.
