- it takes no courage to walk the same path every day for the rest of your life. . . . . This is a 2022-2023 development on my Migration - oversized clouds collection started in 2016. The subject has shifted towards more romantic development. It's a metaphor to a couple and my ideals of a relationship in the current turbulent times. Fragility yet resilience of a graceful paper plane. Carrying a portion of infantilism and adventure, determined with a great degree of an optimism. This relatively new reiteration of my main body of work is a balance or darkness and light, much like in relationship. There is no absolute. Plenty of challenge and underlying uncertainty. Cloud is ever changing but the rainy day always followed by clear sky. This is how I see Two people going through life. Watching over each other shoulder. On similar paths. Sharing trajectory. Ultimately heading towards the light (because I am an optimist deep underneath my skin of a realist) I want to fill my canvas with aspiration, with light, with warmth With sense of belonging, with focus on love that is both strong and fragile. Size: 150x100 cm (2.86 cm edge with paint as shown, can paint it crisp white if you prefer, pls contact after purchase ) unvarnished, minimum gloss shipped stretched (could take it off the wood sub frame, email for that otherwise arrives ready to go on the wall) would benefit from framing can be viewed in my art studio in Berkshire(UK) to follow my journey, life, inspirations and studio work : @y_martynova_ i do accept commissions with size / colour specific please enquire

Yuliya artistic talents started to forge from a really early age as she spent hours in the after school classes experimenting with media and receiving classical art training. She grew up between the leafy hills and lakes of Northern Kazakhstan and industrial Caspian coast town where she was born in 1980. In turbulent times of post Soviet collapse her future was decided in favour of law studies. So artistic development had to be slowed down. Only 15 years later Yuliya was able to return to art looking for meaningful engagement. Since 2015, she showed her work as independent and with the gallery, was part of international established art fairs and shown with alternative gallery spaces. Her work is well sold on all the major online platforms and found its way to movie sets (Marvel for Doctor Strange 2016, ABC for Scandal, 2017), have been shown in members clubs, stylish London hotels and fine dining venues, acquired by interior designers for yachts, cruise liner, international resorts and held in private collections world wide. Yuliya is known for developing collections filled with elegant flow and ethereal glow. She explores idea of fragility and strength in her sky scapes, isolation at sea in dreamy sail boats coastal series, urban crowd dynamics in Connected works on paper and most recently cyclical nature of florals in her 2024 Blossom collection. With each of them focusing on delivering a dreamy side of an elemental realm, the body of works at large filled with weight free emotion effortlessly filling the viewer with light nostalgia. fall involve with me on instagram: @y_martynova_ where i show my life, my work, my beautiful house, daughter and occasionally a hiding hubby
