About The Artwork
This work was inspired by a walk on Charlotte Harbor in Punta Gorda, Florida. It is a place where I gain inspiration, and it is a place of tranquility and amazing sunsets. No two sunsets are alike, each one is a gift. I hope the viewer will feel a sense of peace and a yearning to stop to take stock of what beautiful things are in our surroundings. This piece was created with gesso for a bit of texture and acrylic paints. It is finished with a coat of gloss varnish. The painting is signed on the front and it is also signed on the back, dated, and titled. it is wired and ready to hang after receiving the box. The attached frame is raw - meaning it hasn't been painted or stained. It is natural wood. The dimensions are 17- 1/2" x 14 - 1/2" inches in total. I am an abstract expressionist artist. I paint from raw emotion and release every ounce of my spirit into my creative endeavors. I studied Theater Arts and Design in New York. Painting is a medium that came to me later in my life. I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to express myself through abstraction. It's a delicious treat... sometimes decadent. I love the challenges that are presented as I contemplate new ideas, implement my thoughts and watch them become a reality. in addition, I love listening to guests who visit my studio and purchase my art. Thanks to my clients and collectors - both national and international I was able to fundraise for the Charlotte Arts & Humanities Council of Charlotte County (Florida). It was wonderful to be able to dance and paint for such a great cause and to celebrate the arts community through scholarships for students.
